ELEMENTS REACT. Nova = fire, Arc Chain = lightning, Cryo = ice. Land two different elements on one enemy and they detonate — Thermal Shock, Overload, Superconduct. Building around reactions is how you clear the screen.
You keep gold shards when you die — spend them in Upgrades for permanent power, and unlock new Survivors.
